Hello! This year, St. Lawrence and Franklin County walkers will be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $105 million.

A local Walkin' for Willz 5K Walk/Run to Cure Juvenile Diabetes will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Ives Park in Potsdam, NY. Registration begins at 9:30 am with the walk/run through the Clarkson University campus starting at 10:30 am.

Please join us or help sponsor this very worthy event. You, your family or business can join this team or create your own.

All proceeds will be given directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (via the Central NY Chapter), a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity organization. Over 85% of all donations are used directly for research toward finding a cure for juvenile diabetes.

In 2008 our local team of 81 walkers raised $16,720. This year, we aim to nearly double that.
