The Renegades Organization is walking with San Diego Renegades (Peronto) on October 1, 2005 in San Diego, CA.
Welcome to the San Diego Renegades Team site. Last year we raised over $3,000 for JDRF research and had a great time on the walk. This year, we will be joining the San Diego Aztec Softball team on the Walk to Cure Diabetes. This is a great opportunity to give back to our community, while getting a chance to meet the players and coaches of the San Diego Aztec Softball Team.
All of you remember, Gracie, a 5-year old girl that suffers from juvenile diabetes. Last year, we may Gracie an official member of the Renegades. Recently, Melissa Owens presented Gracie with her official Renegades jersey. A recent picture of Gracie will be posted on our Renegades' website shortly and Gracie will be joining us on the walk as well. This will be a very exciting time together.
Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people¿a large and growing percentage of them children.
There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within our lifetime!
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
