Kristen Zborowski is walking with Cousins for a Cure! on October 30, 2005 in Philadelphia, PA.
Hey! This year, I'll be taking part in my fifth year in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $86 million.
Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people¿a large and growing percentage of them children.
There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within our lifetime!
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
This walk has a very personal meaning to me, as my older brother and cousin have each had diabetes for over 20 years. My younger cousin also discovered she had the disease 4 years ago, when she was 13. This is why I do whatever I can to help out this cause every year.
Last year with your help, I was able to raise an amazing $750 - which was $300 more than my goal! This year, let's try to surpass last year's donations and meet my new goal of $850. Please remember your donations do not have to be large - any amount you can afford is greatly appreciated and WILL help. Feel free to pass my website link to others who may be interested in donating to this great cause.
Thanks for looking at my page, and I'm grateful for your kind donation!
