In September our family will be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes.
As many of you know, JDRF was founded in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 diabetes. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes through the support of research. JDRF is the leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research worldwide, and has awarded more than $900 million to diabetes research. Its leadership is associated with most major scientific breakthroughs in type 1 diabetes research to date.
More than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education, so any contribution you make will bring us that much closer to a cure.
