Rosemary Beck is walking with Ashley's Angels on October 17, 2009 in Atlanta, GA.
Hello!
For the 6th year, I will be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $105 million.
Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people - a large and growing percentage of them children.
As most of you know, my 13-year old niece, Ashley, was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the age of 7 and has dealt with the issues of managing her insulin for about half of her life already.
There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within her lifetime!
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. I know that these are tough economic times, but won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
Thanks to each of my Ashley's Angels team members for all of your support over the past several years. You are true friends and we appreciate your time and contributions to this cause that is near and dear to our hearts.
Love, Aunt Ro
