In June of 2008, Diego "Nanni" Giovanni was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, also known as juvenile diabetes. It is a life altering disease and a potentially deadly one if not closely managed.
Nanni, at the young age of 5, is keenly aware of his mortality yet is still an optimistic, loving, and joyful young boy. Since the day of his diagnosis he's understood the purpose and role of doctor's in treating his diabetes as well as searching for a cure. He's the one that pushed me to register, walk, and help raise money.
So I turn to you, with Nanni's request in hand, to help us raise money so that a cure can be found for him and all people, young and old, living with type 1 diabetes. Help us make scientists' prediction of finding a cure in OUR LIFETIME a reality.
