Jenee Taylor is walking with Little G's Team on November 11, 2007 in Orange County, CA.
This October, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country. The money for this walk goes toward finding a cure.
Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people-a large and growing percentage of them children.
There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within our lifetime!
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
As a parent, you don't ever imagine a life of blood tests, strict diets and injections with needles on a daily basis. You don't imagine that a cold of the flu to lead to hospital visits and that dropping your child off at school can sometimes take your breath away because of your worries and fears of that one "what if..."
We want a life for Gavin that is free of pain, free of limitations, a life where he can go to the park and not have to take breaks for testing and snacks so that he doesn't crash. A life that every child should lead. A life that is fun and carefree.
Please help us give that life to our little boy. Gavin didn't have a choice with this disease. All we can do at this point is fight for a cure, and we need your help to do that.
Please support us in finding a cure for this disease. Whatever you can give is that much more that is going toward our goal.
We thank you for your love and support!
