Hello! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $100 million.
Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people a large and growing percentage of them children, like ME!
There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that I CAN expect to see a cure well within my lifetime!
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
On Sunday June 8, 2008 Meri's Miracle will be taking part in CVS Kid's Day at CVS Frankstown Road, Penn Hills from 11-4. Meri will be hosting a lemonade stand to raise money for this year's walk. There also will be kid's activiities throughout the day. If you are in the neighborhood please stop by to show your support!

6/9/08 update - The lemonade stand was sooooooo much fun! Balloons, clowns, magic, facepainting, great food, live music, and heat (boy was it hot!) 98 degrees! Thanks to everyone who came out to support me & who donated!
