Ann Marie Anderson is walking with Team Reagan on March 7, 2009 in Jacksonville, FL.
Hello! This is my 3 year old daughter Reagan and she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes this past October. She will be insulin-dependent for the rest of her life. She has to endure numerous fingerpricks and insulin injections daily. In addition to the rigorous blood testing and insulin shots, everything she consumes must be weighed and measured. Reagan's blood levels even need to be checked while she sleeps and plays. Throughout this adjustment she has been a wonderful trooper and rarely complains. She is full of smiles, laughs and loves to play amidst her daily diabetes routine. Starting this coming school year Reagan will enter Pre-K 4 at her big brother Ryan's school, San Jose Catholic School. She will be 4 years old and have to administer her own insulin shots and test her blood independently. She is an amazing little girl and is a true blessing to have in our lives.
This March, we will be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country. We wish to invite you to join our family team, Team Reagan, which consists of family and friends who are walking and fundraising in hopes to raise money for the JDRF so that within our lifetime there could be a cure for Diabetes. If you are unable to walk but would like to make a small donation, you can visit the walk.jdrf.org website directly and make your pledge online in honor of Team Reagan. Or if you wish, you can write a check made payable to the JDRF and we can deliver your donation in Reagan's honor the morning of the walk.
Thank you for helping Team Reagan meet our goals. We appreciate your support and we would be honored to see you at the Walk to Cure Diabetes at Metropolitan Park March 7th.
Thank you, Ann Marie Anderson Team Reagan
