This year my family and I will be walking at Holland State Park in JDRF's walk to cure diabetes. It is my family's goal to raise over $9000. I want to beat last year's $7,840!!
Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, a large and growing percentage of them children like me.
There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within my lifetime!
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!

Carter: I have many friends and family with diabetes, including a little girl diagnosed with JD at age 4. She is now 47 years old and the mother of 2 children. This is a great idea for a fundraiser and I wish you well. I'll think of you every time my lilac blooms. Since this is a special lilac and is supposed to repeat bloom, you'll be thought of lots....
