Monfort College of Business College Student Council is walking with Fill Monfort's Hat on September 13, 2009 in Denver, CO.

Hello! Thank you for joining the tradition "Fill Monfort's Hat". This year the students at the University of Northern Colorado's Monfort College of Business are working together to make a difference. We have challenged the student body to raise $10,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Every dollar raised helps "Fill Monfort's Hat".

All student clubs within the Monfort College of Business are teaming up to raise the money for JDRF. Participating clubs include: Alpha Kappa Psi, Beta Alpha Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma, Delta Sigma Pi, Entrepreneurship Club, Financial Management Association, Management Club, Marketing Association, Students in Free Enterprise, and Technology Organization. Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating, often deadly disease that affects millions of people- a large and growing percentage of them children. Almost all of the people reading this know someone who has Type 1 diabetes. Make a difference in their life!

While insulin does keep people with type 1 diabetes alive, it is NOT a cure.

The good news is that for the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within our lifetime! In fact, JDRF funding and leadership is associated with most major scientific breakthroughs in type 1 diabetes research to date, and JDRF funds a major portion of all type 1 diabetes research worldwide

Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
