This year I will be walking on May 8th along with the rest of "Jake's Crew". Jake's Crew has participated in the JDRF walk since my diagnosis on 12/19/05. This is the 5th year that Jake's Crew has participated and we're hoping to make it our most successful!
Life with Diabetes isn't easy for me or for anyone with this terrible disease. I get my finger pokes 10-15 times a day to test my blood sugar levels and I have an insulin pump attached to me 24 hours a day.

Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, a large and growing percentage of them children.
JDRF was founded by parents of kids with type 1 Diabetes and the dollars raised will go to help the continuing research on how to find a cure. Over 82% of every dollar donated goes directly to Diabetes research.
I would appreciate any support and donation you could make. I also encourage you to ask others to join in the walk or donate, as well.
I hope one day that a Cure is found, not just for me, but for the millions of others affected by Diabetes.
